Job Summary<br>The major areas covered are organizational planning, organizational development, recruitment, training, employee relations, compensation and benefits, safety and health, and employee services. It is expected that the HR manager will be able to implement Human Resources processes, policies and programs in China Automotive/ Construction Equipment BU in line with Human Resources Management Agenda.<br>The HR manager is part of the Senior Management Staff of the Shanghai plant and will have doted line responsibilities to the VP of HR and the HR head for China. <br><br>Key/Primary Responsibilities<br>1.Recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for China BU.<br>2.Recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employee relation and promote a high level of employee morale.<br>3.Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Human Resources function, prepare information requested or required for compliance. Acts as primary contact with employee counsel and outside government agencies. <br>4.Protects interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations. Reviews and resolve employee dispute and grievances.<br>5.Conduct manpower forecasting and submit headcount report to HQ. Provide BP labor cost forecast<br>6.Within HR Framework, set up compensation structure, pay policies, performance management process, employee benefit programs and services, and company safety and health programs. Monitors effectiveness and cost containments. <br>7.Implement management information system to record, maintain and manage the organization's human resources. Maintain the personal records of employees on matter such as wages, pension, insurance, leave and training, and prepare associated management reports<br>8.Establishes recruitment and placement practices and procedures in line with plant policy. Advertise staff vacancies, assess applications, interview applicants, give selection tests, prepare reports, and make recommendations to management about staff appointment <br>9.Coordinate training activities. <br>10.Advise employee on work matters, career development, personal problems and industrial matters, and organize employee welfare service such as canteen, first aid and social activities<br>11.Participate management meetings in China BU.<br>12.Implement various HR programs in line with policies and guidelines<br>13.Selects and coordinates use of Human Resources consultants, pension administrators, training specialists, and other outside sources. <br>14.Keeps supervisor informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately at the line management level. <br><br><br> Candidate Profile<br>Affiliations with successful companies who practice effective Human Resources Management. <br>Generalist HR background with broad knowledge of employment, compensation, organizational planning, employee relations, and training and development. Well-developed administrative skills. Principles and people oriented. <br>3 – 5 years experience in HR management, gained through increased responsibilities in previous jobs. <br>Previous experience with international companies<br><br>Professional Experience<br>Ability to build and work with international networks<br>Establish and anchor strategies and concepts.<br>Good conflict resolution skills<br>Good planning, analytical and decision-making skills<br><br>Personal Qualifications<br>Strong interpersonal abilities.
