弗斯特猎头<br>Senior Purchaser<br>Senior Purchaser Mission Responsible for purchasing activities of selected purchasing groups - raw materials (castings – steel / forgings) – in order to ensure the continuity of the supply necessary for the production process. This responsibility also includes the metallurgic aspects of the procurement. Areas of Result Selects and qualifies suppliers, both from a commercial and metallurgic point of view: - gives his advise in this selection and qualification process, based upon the appraisal of the vendors’ technological capabilities, - discusses technical specifications with the vendors, - follows up and monitors first delivery batches of newly selected suppliers, Is co-responsible for the negotiation and the closing of contracts for well-defined purchasing group of materials and/or components and/or services. Organises and guarantees the supply in a timely and cost efficient way, in line with specifications defined by internal product developers, quality specialists and manufacturing technologists, and taking into account - leverage: single versus multiple sourcing (effects and risks) - balance between purchased quantities and customer requirements, and suppliers capacity - optimal delivery schedules Explores and analyses the concerned markets, and keeps himself at all times updated with the technical and commercial evolution of the concerned markets. He is aware and understands the evolution of the concerned technologies. Is responsible for the contract management with suppliers in respect of technology, quality, logistics, commercial conditions, … Hereto he establishes and continuously improves a communication and information exchange process with suppliers. Main Responsibilities in the Project phase Sets up a local supply chain: - Identifies and maps potential local suppliers. - Conducts the qualification process of potential suppliers according to the Companies standards. - Selects local suppliers. - Finalizes contracts with local suppliers in order to guarantee a timely supply in a cost efficient way. - Expedites / manages the expediting of local supply. Ensures completeness of the supply chain to the local factory: - identifies in time potential risks in shortfall of local supply - coordinates with the European procurement team fall back supply. Profile Required Education and experience Master / Bachelor degree in Metallurgic Engineering or Master / Bachelor degree in Engineering or Economics with a vast metallurgic know how build up ‘by experience’. 8 - 12 years experience in Sourcing and Procurement, preferably in the power transmission or automotive. Experience in working in a West-European – Chinese business environment.
