Supplier Quality Development Engineer<br>Responsibilities:<br>Function as a technical liaison between our Suppliers, DR Engineering, DR Purchasing and DR Manufacturing Sites, to implement and monitor APQP, PPAP, as well as technical support to resolve quality and other related issues.<br>Review component design with suppliers to verify cost, feasibility, capacity, gauging and overall conformance to specified tolerances. Develop plans to improve supplier processes and procedures to meet cost, specification and capability targets.<br>Develop target supplier, quality system, processes, tooling, technical, logistical and gauging equipment to assure compliance to DR standards and specifications.<br>On-site and local verification and approval of PPAP.<br>On-site verification of GP-9 and GP-12<br>Perform supplier on-site assessments and assistance visits to improve supplier performance and achieve corporation’s objectives in the areas of Quality, Cost and Responsiveness. These activities include Potential Supplier QVR, Design review, Control Plan Audits, Product Audits, Source Releases and On-site 7 step Problem Solving Activities.<br>Assess and develop supplier’s tooling and equipment to determine need for repair and replacement<br>Assist DR Manufacturing site QDE in advanced problem solving and supplier communication<br>Require domestic as well as some international travel.<br>Qualifications:<br>3 years of experience as Supplier Quality Engineer or Quality Engineer or Mfg Engineer with extensive quality related experience, experience in electrical will be a plus<br>Project management skills, 7-step corrective action method, error-proofing, SPC, lean manufacturing techniques, problem-solving skills, continuous improvement skills<br>Demonstrated mfg engineering experience starting up or developing operations in one or more of the following areas: Al die casting and machining, cold forming steel, precision machining and finishing of steel and aluminum, heat-treatment of steel, sheet steel stamping, powered sintered metal components, plastic components and gears and plating (hexavalent and trivalent)<br>In-depth understanding of GD&T and it’s application<br>Understanding and application of PPAP, GP-09, GP-13 requirements<br>Experience in TS16949/QS9000/ISO9000 standards<br>Proficient PC skills<br>Excellent English skills<br>Highly self-motivated, good team-player</p>

Daily tasks:<br>Preparation of all documents required by the import service provider and customs broker to provide customs clearance services.<br>Provide all information (translation, technical information, etc. …) required by the import service provider and customs broker to provide customs clearance services.<br>Coordination of financial releases (import duties, taxes, charges of import service providers, etc. …) with finance department to release goods at customs.<br>To maintain and update the material master in the SAP-system (e.g. categorizing parts in CCC- or license parts) for all parts imported into China.<br>Keep informed about changes of legal requirements for parts import and parts export by continuous communication to all parties involved in the import procedure (customs authorities, import service provider, customs broker and local/ international transportation companies).<br>Continuous communication of changes in legal requirements to internal departments and company.<br>To communicate with all in the import procedure involved parties to achieve the on-time delivery and reduce claims rate.<br>To coordinate with internal parties such as Homologation Dept. or Finance Dept. to solve import problems.<br>To communicate with related dept. and relevant parties in order to obtain CCC certificates that can not be obtained locally.<br>To collect and analyze information and generate reports based on KPI such as lead time and on-time delivery.<br>To handle additionally tasks defined by the Import Supply Chain Manager.<br><br>2.2.
