The job capacity will involve technical and administrative support of the Oracle RDBMS, Oracle Warehouse, High Availability and Oracle e-Bus applications. <br><br><br>Responsibilities<br>In particular, this job performs the following database development and support functions:<br><br>Install, maintain and upgrade RDBMS high availability solutions like Oracle Data Guard,<br>Oracle Replication, Oracle RAC, SUN Clustering and CISCO CSM.<br>Participate in business continuity planning; document, test and implement business continuity exercise <br>Implementation and support of the data warehouse from planning and capacity management through operations and user support.<br>Prepare database load, ETL scripts, test and implement specifications.<br>Work closely with the Business Intelligence Analyst to ensure the needs of business users are met. <br>Familiar with warehouse database design and BI capabilities<br>In depth knowledge of Star and Snowflake Schema, Dimensional modeling and data warehouse methodology.<br>Experience with Oracle OLAP and BI analysis tools such as Cognos, Hyperion, etc a plus.<br>Monitoring Data Warehouse ETL Jobs and automate error handling, able to optimize the process for better performance<br>Administer and maintain on-going production and test database environments.<br>Install, maintain and upgrade Oracle RDBMS software.<br>Install, maintain and upgrade Oracle Financials applications environment.<br>Perform database backup and recovery. <br>Provide technical support for Oracle RDBMS and Oracle Financial interface programs.<br>Monitor, tune and troubleshoot production and test databases.<br>Facilitate database Change Management procedures.<br>Resolve technical issues with software vendors.<br>Troubleshoot user and developer database issues.<br>Contact technical support for database solutions and patches.<br>Support custom and 3rd party applications on a global scale for Mercer offices.<br>Schedule, monitor and report on batch processes and interfaces.<br>Provide off-hour and on-call database support.<br><br> <br><br>Requirements<br><br>Prefers an academic or professional certification in computer science or equivalent work experience<br>A minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in Oracle database administration, Oracle OLAP Warehouse and BI administration and/or Oracle Financial application administration (on UNIX, Linux and NT/XP/W2K platforms)<br>Proficiency in technical skills to support business units in database technology.<br>Solid understanding of data warehouse design and theory (logical and physical).<br>Proficiency in database development methodology for Oracle data warehouse and BI, design and modeling, database architecture principles and practices<br>Expertise in Oracle OLAP, ETL design including data structures, indexing, scripting languages and query optimization, etc.<br>Strong and practical knowledge of Oracle OLAP, materialized views, query rewrite, transportable tablespace, CDC, 10g Grid and other RDBMS tools.<br>Proficiency in database and application high availability architecture like Oracle replication, Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC, CISCO CSM and SUN Clustering.<br>Experience with the Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects Data Integrator or related technologies is a plus<br>Expertise in recommending hardware requirements and storage capacity planning for data warehousing servers for scalable growth.<br>Strong interpersonal skills to provide work harmony in a team and/or individual environment.<br>Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills.<br>Proficiency in Oracle Financials applications installation, patching, support, troubleshooting and tuning<br>Proficiency in Oracle Financials Workflow implementation and support<br>Proficiency in database tuning, backup and recovery, RMAN and media management software<br>Proficiency in database security and audit requirements and S.O.X. compliances guidelines<br>Proficiency in RDBMS tools like SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Developer, Oracle 10G Grid, Oracle<br>Enterprise Manager, UNIX shell scripting and others<br>Proficiency in Oracle installation, patching, support and troubleshooting.<br>Proficiency in Business continuity strategy and exercise</p> 不限
