The poduct design focus on server Mother board design. · RFQ support · Generate test plans · Support initial factory bring-up · Direct and manage technology suppliers · Support Program Management in development of schedules and report on status of milestones · Manage cross functional team for reviews in compliance to Product Lifecycle Management · Support of physical design · Interface and interact with customers on ongoing product related issues and new product design concepts · International travel required Skills · 5-7 years design overall experience with 2+ years at the system level (Server experience preferred) · Hands on design experience with Server design or motherboards for PC/Laptop/Workstation products and familiarity with peripheral chipsets and components · Familiarity with Intel and AMD roadmaps preferred · BS in Electronics Engineering required; MSEE preferred · A broad knowledge of current digital and analogue components. · Hands-on design knowledge of PC & peripheral chipsets and components. · PCI, PCI-X, AGP, AGTL+, IDE, SCSI, USB, SMB, SDRAM, DDR, ATA133, DC:DC VRM, LPC, Clock Distribution knowledge, Ethernet. · Familiarity with Linux, Windows XP system setup and configuration. · Strong debug and analysis skills · ICE, analyser and oscilloscope familiarity · Experience with Capture or Concept Schematic capture software packages · Ability to direct and mentor junior engineers · Verilog or VHDL experience required · Highly proficient in the MS office suite of products · Highly fluent in English · Knowledge of the following would be desirable: · Experience of working in medium sized multidisciplinary development teams · Experience with a volume electronics manufacturing environment and processes · Perl or equivalent scripting language · Allegro PCB layout tools · External customer interface skills Personal Attributes The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of working with a minimum of supervision in a dynamic team environment.
