Job Description:<br>Project Role<br>The Project Manager reports to the Project Director and has day-to-day responsibility for all aspects of the project including meeting the needs of the Client. (However, for small projects where it is more practical, the Project Director and Project Manager can be the same person).<br>Review contracts and definition of client requirements<br>Appointment, direction and management of the project team<br>Proposal preparation including development of scope of work, budget and program<br>Chair project initiation meeting<br>Monitoring of the project including cost, program, safety, environmental and technical requirements and the initiation of necessary corrective action<br>Ensuring adherence with the BMS Manual and associated requirements documented in the Business Management System<br>Reporting and liaison with the client's representative in relation to progress of the project<br>Management of costs of the project including:<br>assembly of cost estimates into a suitable format for reporting and control;<br>establishment and enforcement of routine reporting;<br>recording of project costs;<br>reporting of estimated, actual and committed costs, assessment of the completion of project tasks against actual and estimated costs, prediction of costs for completion, in conjunction with the Project Manager and other discipline Professionals;<br>recording of costs associated with scope of work changes, variations to subcontracts, etc.<br>Formal reporting to Regional Management on the program of the project including:<br>breakdown of the project into suitable tasks and/or work activities;<br>development of the project control program against the above tasks and/or work activities;<br>establishment and enforcement of reporting on progress with the project;<br>evaluation of current and further progress against the program; and<br>assessment of the impacts of scope of work changes on the project program.<br>Formal reporting to Regional Management on changes to the scope of work;<br>Responsibility for financial aspects of the project including:<br>workers hours, charges for technical personnel and costs of overheads;<br>authorising invoices;<br>payments from clients;<br>authorising payments to subcontractors; and<br>Project Managers of all levels are accountable to the Work Group Leader and the Regional Manager.<br>BMS Role<br>Overall management responsibility for quality aspects of projects;<br>Preparation and implementation of the scope of work and project quality plan (if required); and<br>Review and correction of nonconformances, involving relevant project personnel as necessary.<br>Health, Safety and Environmental Responsibilities<br>Ensure that their projects are performed in a manner consistent with the Health and Safety Program.<br>Ensure that project Health and Safety Plans are prepared, approved and properly implemented.<br>Ensure that adequate budgets are allocated to fully implement project Health and Safety Plans.<br>Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Plans by URS Asia-Pacific personnel and contractors' personnel.<br>Ensure the client has accepted the Health and Safety Plan prior to commencement of field work.<br>Coordinate with the OHSO on Health and Safety matters.<br>Ensure investigation of all Health and Safety incidents.<br>Complete all incident/investigation forms describing action taken and forward to OHSO.<br><br>Health, Safety and Environmental Authorities<br>Assign approved site safety officer to project and, if necessary, assign a suitably qualified replacement.<br>Suspend field activities, if health and safety of personnel or the general public are endangered, pending an evaluation by the OHSO.<br>Suspend an individual from field activities for infractions of the Health and Safety Plan, pending an evaluation by the OHSO or Operations Manager</p>
